It's another successful Malaysian Night, held in the heart of London. Trafalgar Square was packed with people, people queued for food and hung about at the stairs to watch the performance. Woohoo to promoting my lovely Malaysia..!
I didn't manage to capture the food that they sold at the stalls. There were so many, probably about 20 stalls, selling a variety of Malaysian delicacies. I had Apam Balik (with cheese in between, pretty unusual tho), fried rice with chilly prawns and warm teh tarik to restore balance to the plummeting temperature. Sarah had Penang laksa (which was reallyyyyyy good), some keropok lekor and warm teh tarik too.
I found myself adoring the fairy lights that they set up around the stalls. They made the environment more lively and pasar-malam-ish just like the one we had at home. It's really cute I wish I can bring them home. The management was pretty awesome, they kept on cleaning the area every 10 minutes (not literally, haha) therefore cleanliness was well kept despite thousands of people keep coming in and contributing to trash.
It was fun to spend friday night like this. Properly fed with traditional food and catching up with few friends. Tiwas fun, tiwas :)
