Palestinian prisoners hunger strike. The scale of prisoners going on strike increased four times retrospectively. Respect for human rights in prison i.e. improving prison condition, abolish 'administrative detention', ending the ban on academic materials. 75 days without food. Responded well by the Israeli prison department 2 days ago.
Those are a few things, but the main thing that I am most drawn to is this article that talks about the power of peaceful demonstration. Such protest, not something new to Palestinians, was soundless but influential, proves that demonstration can be done peacefully without blood, without public damage (in contrast to what saw on news regarding Bersih demo). However, to have yielded a protest as affective as this, the hunger strike was well planned and supported by grass-roots organizations. Support rallies are seen around the world, tho I read somewhere that this strike still lacks of international support.
Now that I understand, I am affected by the pandemic.
