Ragu made easy


My frozen 'daging masak kicap' had been turned into a 'ragu' for dinner. 

I rarely cook beef. So when I FIRST cook beef, it was a simple daging masak kicap but it turned out to be so wrong. I didn't preboiled the meat so it was rubbery, so the sauce was a strong smell of beef and tasted very irony, so I froze the rest of 500g of daging masak kicap and promised myself to alter it when I want to eat it later. 

Tonight I took out the frozen beef, defrosted and boiled it further on the stove, in another pan sauteed some onion with butter, added the now softer beef into the onion, cooked it further, added a couple of tomato sauce and basil. Voila, ragu! The sauce tasted better and beef was softer :)
