Le wedding

Yesterday was another torment. I couldn't sleep until 9 in the morning, 2 hours before Fawwaz was estimated to pick me up. Because we're roadtripping to Jasin for a pair of our buddies wedding. Eyes as swollen as ever (curse youuuuu jetlag), head throbbing, I collected all my might to get up and get dressed.

My dress of choice was a 5-years old light blue which I never I got the chance to wear since I picked them up from the tailor, until today. I was (and still am) happy that I could fit in it after so many years. teehee >.<

It was a blazing hot day, good for a wedding day but not good for me since I have overreactive melanin that I get dark so easily in a minute of sunshine (joke). We got there after a few confusions around 1 in the afternoon and the pair was already on the aisle for bersanding event.

It's so odd seeing your own friends up there, getting married. They are entering a new phase of life making us the singletons (or doubletons) feel the need to catch up. I remember when I was only a little girl, I was injected with a mindset that wedding is for old people. Only old people get married, get to wear nice dresses and wear make up, and being awed upon. I always thought, my turn would come only when I am old enough. Slap me, I am old enough - considering friends same aged as me are already married, some even have a child of their own. Only my time has not come.

Another thing to get really excited about yesterday was, my craving to have nasi minyak and the typical wedding dishes is now fulfilled. Yums. And the opportunity to meet bestfriends and also school friends whom I had stopped contacting all together right after high school was definitely awesome.
