Washington, D.C.

D.C. stands for its former name, District of Capitol. It is like the political hub, the power centre of United States (to some extend - The World).

Compared to NYC, it slower in pace, calmer, less skyscraping, monumental and historical. More than two dozens FREE museums, I have lost count of all the monuments you could possibly go to, archives, libraries, and government buildings. It is synonym with Malaysia's Wilayah Persekutuan

Weather, it's hot and hot. I can't emphasise more. It's literally as hot as the desert. Since we were coming from icy cool New York, our bodies are in shock of how warm it is here (and it's only 4 hours drive south of NYC).

What I like about DC, the National Mall, second after the cherry blossoms gift from Japan to United States. No, it's not a retail area, they are a large area of monuments and historical landmarks. It is vast and walking around to get from one place to another is one hell of a walk. It's bus-less and metro-less, there is rental bikes tho but we were not sure how to rent them. So we end walking miles down to get from Abraham Lincoln's to Barack Obama's. I gulped 500mls of water in 5 mins.

We thought we were gonna have chill days in DC, but I think I have injured all the possible bones, tendons and ligaments in my feet. Ugh, they are aching. Luckily, we are going back to London tomorrow.

And I am travelling across the world to my home. I am one homesick puppy.
